PEMÜ Műanyagipari Zrt. manufactures built-in components, casted PU products, tubes, and profiles, with several technologies for the machine industry.

It has been serving its customers as a market leader, with casted polyurethane elastomers since 1977. These products are made of two- or multicomponent, cross-linked polyurethane raw materials. Combining the toughness of plastics with the elasticity and flexibility of rubber, is the most notable property of these processed polyurethane systems.

In addition to serving standard items like rods, bushings, sheets, flat springs, gas and water sealings, star couplings from stock, the company carries out individual demands on a short deadline as well.

PEMÜ Zrt. is prepared to fulfil complex, customized requests (planning, tooling, manufacturing, supplementary works), on a short deadline.

Casted polyurethane rods are semi-finished or end products, that are made in a given size range, and can be produced in a variety of hardnesses. From the above, customized machine units and spare parts can be manufactured by milling or the use of supplementary processes.

The unique combination of the excellent properties of polyurethane elastomers, ensures that springs and bushings made of this material can be applied in the making of die cutting and deep drawing tools, and used as a replacement for steel springs as well.

One of the major areas of their application is the vast and diverse cluster of sealings. Flat seals, used in water and gas pipes are more notable, these are manufactured in accordance with the standard marking system (NA), and in a given size range. They are made in PUA 90 Sh A quality, their use in drinking water pipes is permitted and their pentane resistance is confirmed by certificates.

Waterproof sealings, also known as Permatight sealings are another notable part within the cluster of sealings, they can provide proper sealing due to their special construction. They are available to the customers in a full size range and with a mounting sleeve.

Casted polyurethane products; as a result of their scale of hardness, resistance to abrasion, and their flexibility, can be produced in a wide variety, in line with the customers’ needs.

Using PU sheets as coverage on surfaces that are subject to abrasion, is a commonly used solution thanks to the sheets’ excellent resistance to abrasion. Creating such layer can be accomplished by gluing sheets or panels of different sizes and hardnesses, onto the surface. Thanks to their outstanding tensile strength, they can also be used as punch mass in cutting dies (punching machines).

It is possible to create custom or shaped sheets, sealings and other shapes by punching, using items from the ’foil’ product group. The size and material quality (hardness) are wide range.

Because of the resistance to abrasion and simple design concrete industry widely uses scraper slats from this material, but the snow-plough edge is a similar usage as well.

Clutches are structural elements to transmit torque between propulsion engines and machinery, to dampen and eliminate shocks and oscillations from the driven machine, generated during rotation.

Casted polyurethane castor-wheels and wheels can be widely used due to their excellent tensile strength, good abrasion resistance, and dynamic load capacity.

Casted polyurethane can also be used to create moulded cylindrical bodies. Coating can be done via casting it onto a metal cylinder, or by pulling it on the metal. The cylinders can be formed with milling to a given size afterwards.

The procedure for processing casted polyurethane is also suitable for making components with complicated and complex shapes, due to the raw materials’ exceptional properties and the relatively simple tooling. Such products are for example: hydrocyclone gear ring.

The tooling cost and quantity requirement of the products (small series) in many cases represents a significant advantage over other plastic processing techniques.
