Full name: Processing and control of new nanomaterials in the production of packaging materials, automotive components and solar panels!
Duration of the project: 01.10.2015-30.09.2018
PEMÜ Zrt.’s budget
Total: 433,200 €
EU fund: 303,240 €
Objective:
15 project members (research institutions, small and medium-sized enterprises and several industrial partners) from 7 countries altogether have worked on developments and product prototype production with the aim to process new nano sized additives for the packaging- and automotive industry, and to use these in the production of solar panels. The use of nano sized additives may have favourable effects on the properties of the polymer matrix when used with other additives. These are the properties that were utilized during developments. The target products of PEMÜ Zrt. include both automotive (door panel) and packaging (cosmetic jar) products, for which the main direction for development was to reduce the weight of the current raw material without deteriorating any other mechanical and rheological properties. PEMÜ Zrt.’s task was to perform tests through injection moulding with the use of materials provided by project members.
15 partners of 7 different countries had been taking part in the consortium. The leader of the consortium was the Spanish Innovacio I Recerca Industrial I Sostenible (IRIS) corporation.
